Siden 2023 har Arkiv Qlubb jobbet for \u00e5 etablere et interaktivt og dynamisk arkiv for Queer-kultur i Norge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ved innvilget st\u00f8tte fra Balansekunst, vil Arkiv Qlubb utvide sin aktivitet med satsningsprosjektet Living Archive – en tilgjengelig, inkluderende og dynamisk ressurs som beriker kulturlandskapet i Norge. Ingen slik ressurs eksisterer per i dag i Oslo og det er stort behov for et arkiv som gjenspeiler de levde erfaringene til skeive mennesker her. Arkivet skal supplere det eksisterende arkivet i Bergen (Skeivt Arkiv, UiB), med noen sentrale differensieringer: V\u00e5rt arkiv i Oslo gj\u00f8res lett tilgjengelig for publikum og er av en betydelig formidlende art. Det er i hovedsak et s\u00e5kalt \u00ablevende arkiv\u00bb, som vil si at det gjenspeiler de n\u00e5v\u00e6rende, tidligere og fremtidige liv til sine bidragsytere, og vil fungere som en verdifull kilde til informasjon, b\u00e5de n\u00e5 og i fremtiden. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

With the grant of support from Balansekunst, Arkiv Qlubb will expand its activity with the investment project Living Archive – an accessible, inclusive and dynamic resource that enriches the cultural landscape in Norway. No such resource currently exists in Oslo and there is a great need for an archive that reflects the lived experiences of queer people here. The archive will supplement the existing archive in Bergen (Skeivt Arkiv, UiB), with some key differences: Our archive in Oslo is made easily accessible to the public and is of a significant mediating nature. It is essentially a so-called «living archive», which means that it reflects the current, past and future lives of its contributors, and will function as a valuable source of information, both now and in the future.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

1) Arkivet vil \u00f8ke tilgjengeligheten med et moderne, demokratisk og interaktivt arkiv<\/summary>\n

De to koordinatorene som etablerer tilbudet, sammen med et team av superhelter, besitter to sentrale og sjeldent kombinerte spisskompetanser, som er essensielle for arkivets rammeverker. P\u00e5 den ene siden er de akademikere med solid faglig forankring, erfaring og kompetanse p\u00e5 tradisjonelle arkiv. P\u00e5 den andre siden er de drevne formidlere som har utviklet nytenkende prosjekter for b\u00e5de ikke-kommersielle og kommersielle akt\u00f8rer.<\/p>\n<\/details>\n\n\n\n

2) Arkivet skal tjene inkluderingsinitiativer og belyse multietniske og flerreligi\u00f8se aspekt ved skeiv kultur i Norge, samt styrke det skeive fellesskapet ved \u00e5 initiere aktiv deltakelse i opprettelsen.<\/summary>\n

Vi vil vise den dynamiske rollen arkiver spiller i samfunnet og deres verdi i sosial fremgang gjennom ikke kun \u00e5 invitere inn, men initiere og aktivt opps\u00f8ke samarbeid med minoriteter innenfor minoriteten. SKOKS Mangfoldsr\u00e5d (tidl. kalt \u201cKunnskapsr\u00e5det\u201d) vil v\u00e6re en essensiell del av dette arbeidet ved bl.a. \u00e5 p\u00e5peke blindsoner. Det samme vil nettverket v\u00e5rt, som stadig vokser til \u00e5 inkludere nye kryssminoriteter og tverrkunstneriske grupperinger.<\/p>\n<\/details>\n\n\n\n

3) Arkivet blir en grunnleggende ressurs for \u00e5 informere og inspirere fremtidige skeive kunst- og kulturinitiativer, med vekt p\u00e5 sammenhengen mellom skeiv historie og andre marginaliserte identiteter i samfunnet v\u00e5rt.<\/summary>\n

Siden start har SKOKS opps\u00f8kt b\u00e5de individer og institusjoner som har kjempet for, utviklet og etablert kulturtilbud for- og av- andre minoritetsgrupper. En av v\u00e5re f\u00f8rste sentrale samarbeidspartnere og r\u00e5dgivere var Cliff Moustache \/ Nordic Black Theatre, som ga uvurderlig innsikt om veien til et kulturhus som praktiserer reell inkludering, og har etablert et interseksjonelt kunstnerisk fellesskap som konsekvent inviterer \u201cutenforskapet\u201d inn i varmen. Historiske likheter mellom antirasistisk kamp og skeiv kamp finnes ikke bare i politiske metoder eller strategier brukt, men i overlappende levde liv, og i overlappende arenaer som kunne tilby trygghet. I tillegg er innspill og r\u00e5d fra samarbeidspartnerne v\u00e5re som Nordic Black Theatre og SPKRBOX, utslagsgivende i SKOKS strategier for \u00e5 n\u00e5 ut til majoritetssamfunnet og kulturinstitusjonene med satsninger og produksjoner.<\/p>\n<\/details>\n\n\n\n

4) En offentlig tilgjengelig, regelmessig brukt og oppdatert ressurs om skeiv kultur-arv i Norge vil fylle et tomrom i det norske samfunnet.<\/summary>\n

Oslo er landets hovedstad og ofte individers f\u00f8rste kontaktpunktet med skeiv kultur i Norge. B\u00e5de for bes\u00f8kende fra andre land, og for skeive fra andre steder i Norge. Sv\u00e6rt mange skeive flytter fra hjembygdene sine for \u00e5 finne et skeivt fellesskap i Oslo. SKOKS tilbyr et slikt fellesskap, uten festkulturen som ellers f\u00f8lger med. Med et levende arkiv vil vi ogs\u00e5 kunne tilby kunnskap og en dypere forst\u00e5else av v\u00e5r kulturhistorie. Turistn\u00e6ringen fronter byen som inkluderende ovenfor denne m\u00e5lgruppen. Det er viktig \u00e5 st\u00f8tte oppunder dette omd\u00f8mmet med omfattende, gjennomtenkte ressurser som forbedrer den skeive opplevelsen, bidrar til \u00e5 beskytte skeive liv og rettigheter, og utfordrer misoppfatninger om skeivhet.<\/p>\n<\/details>\n\n\n\n

5) Arkivet vil gi unge skeive mennesker verkt\u00f8y til \u00e5 bedre forst\u00e5 verden og kulturen de befinner seg i, og vise at Norge i sin sterkt globaliserte posisjon, bidrar til det internasjonale kulturlandskapet.<\/summary>\n

Arkivet s\u00f8ker \u00e5 koble lokalsamfunnet med det globale samfunnet. Fellestrekk mellom det lokale og globale kan avdekkes gjennom arkivdokumentasjon, og muligheter for samarbeid og \u00f8kt forst\u00e5else p\u00e5 tvers av kulturer og sosiale aspekter kan finne sted. Ungdom har allerede begynt \u00e5 bruke SKOKS som m\u00f8te- og sosialt rom. \u00c5 ha et arkiv her til utdannings- og informasjonsform\u00e5l er uvurderlig for \u00e5 gi unge verkt\u00f8yene de trenger for \u00e5 utvikle en kritisk og empatisk forst\u00e5else av deres kulturelle milj\u00f8. Sentrumsomr\u00e5det er hjemsted for mange skoler og ungdomsorganisasjoner, med SKOKS godt posisjonert for \u00e5 gi dem pedagogisk st\u00f8tte og ressurser sammen med de kulturelle mulighetene det gir.<\/p>\n<\/details>\n\n\n\n

1) The archive will increase accessibility as a modern, democratic and interactive resource<\/summary>\n

The two coordinators, together with a team of superheroes, possess two central and rarely combined cutting-edge skills, which are essential for the archive’s framework. On the one hand, they are academics with solid academic grounding, experience and expertise in traditional archives. On the other side they are driven mediators who have developed innovative projects for both non-commercial and commercial actors.<\/p>\n<\/details>\n\n\n\n

2) The archive shall serve inclusion initiatives and shed light on the multi-ethnic and multi-religious aspects of queer culture in Norway, as well as strengthen the queer community by initiating active participation in its creation.<\/summary>\n

We want to show the dynamic role archives play in society and their value in social progress by not only inviting in, but initiating and actively seeking cooperation with minorities within the minority. SKOK’s Diversity Council (formerly called the «Kunnskapsr\u00e5d») will be an essential part of this work by e.g. pointing out blind spots. So will our network, which is constantly growing to include new cross-minorities and cross-artist groupings.<\/p>\n<\/details>\n\n\n\n

3) The archive will become a fundamental resource to inform and inspire future queer art and culture initiatives, with an emphasis on the connection between queer history and other marginalized identities in our society.<\/summary>\n

Since its inception, SKOKS has sought out both individuals and institutions that have fought for, developed and established cultural offerings for and by other minority groups. One of our first key collaborators and advisors was Cliff Mustache \/ Nordic Black Theatre, who provided invaluable insight into the path to a cultural center that practices real inclusion, and has established an intersectional artistic community that consistently invites the «outside» into the warmth. Historical similarities between anti-racist struggle and queer struggle are found not only in political methods or strategies used, but in overlapping lived lives, and in overlapping arenas that could offer security. In addition, input and advice from our partners such as Nordic Black Theater and SPKRBOX are decisive in SKOK’s strategies for reaching out to the majority community and cultural institutions with initiatives and productions.<\/p>\n<\/details>\n\n\n\n

4) A publicly available, regularly used and updated resource on queer cultural heritage in Norway will fill a void in Norwegian society.<\/summary>\n

Oslo is the country’s capital and often individuals’ first point of contact with queer culture in Norway. Both for visitors from other countries, and for queers from other places in Norway. Many queer people move from their home villages to find a queer community in Oslo. SKOKS offers such a community, without the party culture that otherwise comes with it. With a living archive, we will also be able to offer knowledge and a deeper understanding of our cultural history. The tourist industry presents the city as inclusive towards this target group. It is important to support this reputation with comprehensive, thoughtful resources that enhance the queer experience, help protect queer lives and rights, and challenge misconceptions about queerness.<\/p>\n<\/details>\n\n\n\n

5) The archive will give young queer people tools to better understand the world and culture they find themselves in, and show that Norway, in its highly globalized position, contributes to the international cultural landscape.<\/summary>\n

The archive seeks to connect the local community with the global community. Commonalities between the local and the global can be revealed through archival documentation, and opportunities for collaboration and increased understanding across cultures and social aspects can take place. Young people have already started using SKOKS as a meeting and social space. Having an archive here for educational and informational purposes is invaluable in giving young people the tools they need to develop a critical and empathetic understanding of their cultural environment. The downtown area is home to many schools and youth organisations, with SKOKS well positioned to provide them with educational support and resources alongside the cultural opportunities it provides.<\/p>\n<\/details>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Thorne er en etablert researcher or sosial historiker fra S\u00f8r-Afrika, n\u00e5 bosatt i Oslo. De har etablert og administrert digitale arkivprosjekter, og jobbet med respekterte institusjoner som District Six Museum, South African History Online og andre kulturarvsprosjekter som fokuserer p\u00e5 skjulte historier. De jobber ogs\u00e5 innen teater & kunst i Oslo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Thorne is an experienced researcher and social historian from South Africa, now living in Oslo. They have established and run a number of digital archiving projects, and has worked with respected institutions such as the District Six Museum, South African History Online, and many others. Their work in Norway includes writing and communications roles in the fields of sustainability & social sustainability.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
